Climathon (https://climathon.climate-kic.org/ ) has been organised since 2015 with about 600 organisers, 1,000 events and over 30,000 participants in 140 cities from 56 countries worldwide. It is supported by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology aiming at identifying and support innovation that helps society mitigate and
adapt to climate change.
Climathon Prishtina will be organized for the first time in Kosova on 19, 20 – 21 October 2023.
Climathon Prishtina will be organized jointly with the capital Prishtina and will bring together partners in the worlds of business, academia, and the public and non-profit sectors to create networks of expertise, through which innovative products, services and systems can be developed, brought to market and scaled-up for impact. Climathon Prishtina is a community of climate-minded people working together to help our capital Prishtina face and deal with the most stressing climate issues and decarbonize. We firmly believe that local activation and collaboration are essential in addressing the pressing challenges posed by climate change.
Through Climathon Prishtina, we seek to inspire, connect, and support local changemakers who are determined to accelerate the transition to a zero-carbon, climate resilient society. We understand the importance of starting at the local level, as it is here that impactful transformations can take root and spread.
